Firstly, multiply both sides by pq: [tex] pqx=p-q [/tex]

Next, add q onto both sides of the equation: [tex] pqx+q=p [/tex]

Next, factor out q: [tex] q(px+1)=p [/tex]

Lastly, divide both sides by (px+1) and your answer will be [tex] q=\frac{p}{px+1} [/tex]
