Hello there! 
You only have to flip the sign if you are dividing or multiplying the number by a negative. In this case you do.

When multiplying or dividing by a negative number, you flip the sign. For example, for the inequality shown, you do flip the sign because the coefficient (the number next to the variable) is negative. This ONLY works for multiplying/dividing. Hope this helps!
