People have the right to express their opnions about the government, system, the society. This power of the people can offer feedback to the government, change society's views, and even change laws.

A free press is important and helpful to a democratic society becauseit helps  citizens become aware of a politician’s wrongdoings.

A free press is necessary for a strong democracy. Together with free speech, a free press is fundamental for people to be informed and to participate in a democracy.

The ability to criticise government policy and let people speak up on the major matters of policy constitute the cornerstone of both the freedom of the press and democracy itself.
