well in solids particles are closer but in vases they spread apart in liquid the are close but don't move that far from each other

Both balloons go in gases, Solids have a definite shape, In liquids atoms are close together and no special pattern, liquids take the shape of the container, and in a solid atoms are packed tightly, and gas takes shape and volume.
