Simplify each expression. Your answer should contain only positive exponents.

b )m^3n^−9

a) Any number to the 0 power equals 1, but since the base is negative and not in parentheses, it will be -1.


b) This is the same as [tex]m^{3} * \frac{1}{n^{9} }[/tex] (negative exponents go to the denominator) which simplifies to [tex]\frac{m^{3} }{n^{9} }[/tex].

For b), I’m not 100% sure on my answer for it, but I would probably guess that it is m^3/n^9
